Greetings Groundlings, This week, we start a new unit, a new theme, and a new author. This time of the school year is one of my favorites: it's time for Shakespeare! We will first be encountering one of his most gory and spooky, magic and epic and tragic plays of all time. A play so cursed some hesitate to say its name aloud: Macbeth! Mon/Tues (11/16,11/17): Elevator Pitch Prep:
For this block, we will start by reviewing 6 different strategies for making an effective pitch. After that, the period will be devoted to preparing our Elevator Pitch presentations. For other resources on the Elevator Pitch, including the overview and the rubric, go to the Project 3 page: Project 3: Elevator Pitch Presentation **Remember: A draft of your Elevator Pitch is due on TurnItIn.com by the end of the day on Tuesday** Wed (11/18): Elevator Pitch Presentations: Wednesday is an all periods day for the 12th grade, and is the first day of Elevator Pitch presentations. Students will give their pitch at the time they chose from the Sign-Up Genius website. Before coming to the Elevator Pitch meeting, students should consider the following:
